摘要
英语习语是在一定的历史文化背景下产生和发展的,它折射出了英国历史的变迁,也传达了人民的劳动、生活、文学和宗教信仰等信息。本文针对习语从英国历史的变迁对习语的影响和习语的渊源进行分析,论述了习语的语言特色。
English idioms came into being and developed on the background of the English historical culture, reflecting the changes of the United Kingdom history and containing the information of the English people＇s labor, life, literature and religions. This paper analyses the influence of the English history on English idioms and discusses the language features of English idioms.
