摘要
游汝杰和钱乃荣二位先生对上海方言在北部吴语的地位提出了与笔者不同的看法,本文是对他们的回应。本文认为,在语言事实没有分歧的情况下,方言分区的处理也并非只有惟一正确答案。对不同标准的偏重可以有不同的结论。
This paper is a response to professors YOU Rujie and QIAN Nairong who have proposed different theories on the status of Shanghai dialect. It argues that there is no unique solution to the dialectal classification even when the related linguistic data are indisputable. Emphasis on different criteria leads to different solutions.
