摘要
本文以哈桑的体裁结构潜势理论为依据,对我国3所高校537名学生的英语写作教学现状和存在的各种问题做了调查,证实了我国高校英语写作教学体裁意识不强的假设。文章结论是:除了加强词汇和语法基础的训练以外,大学英语写作必须一开始就从语篇入手,让学生接触不同类型的体裁,特别要着重提高教师和学生的体裁意识。
This paper first presents in rather detail the project of a survey on the problems existing in English writing. The data are collected from 537 Chinese students of three colleges. The survey was conducted following Hahn' s theory of Generic Structure Potential. The result confirms our hypothesis that Chinese college students do not have strong genre awareness apart from having problems in lexis,grammar and other aspects. This strengthens our belief that students need to start writing at the discourse level and to be exposed to more practical genres, and that both teachers and students need particularly to build up genre awareness.
