Constructing Contemporary Chinese Learning in the Spirit of Chinese Culture

摘要 “当代国学”与“近代国学”有别。近代国学之研究,起自中学与西学之对比以及依西学之目标重理国故,其意义主要在近代中国革命的意识形态方面。当代国学则缘于西学根本局限性之发现以及中国文化生命之复兴的需要。中国文化精神与西方文化精神的区别在于:一为“实践感性”,一为“实践理性”。明此区分,是建设中国学问之当代构架的出发点。当代国学之建设自有当代中国民众的生命实践作为基础,但需以历史唯物主义的感性意识异化原理作启发,兼引当代西方存在论革命之思想,才能一方面从根本上诊治中国传统文化之痼疾,另一方面为当代中国立心、立命。 There are differences between the "contemporary Chinese learning" and the "modern Chinese learning." The study of the latter began with the comparison between the Chinese learning and the Western learning, and with the rearrangement of the ancient Chinese literature within the frame of the Western learning. It was mostly instructive in the shaping of the ideology of Chinese modern revolution. The contemporary Chinese learning came from the discovery of the essential shortcomings in the Western learning, and from the necessity of the revival of Chinese cultural life. The distinction between the spirits of Chinese culture and the Westem culture is that between "practical sensuousness" and "practical reason," a knowledge of which should be the starting point of constructing the contemporary Chinese learning. The construction has its basis in the life-praxis of Chinese people and enlightenment from historical materialism and contemporary Western ontological revolution. After that, the chronic malady of Chinese culture can be diagnosed and treated at root, and contemporary Chinese spirit and destiny can be founded and reached.
