摘要
近年来,随着人类在高能物理、核物理和工业探测等方面活动的加强,对成本低廉、大尺寸的闪烁体的需求也越来越迫切。与闪烁晶体相比,闪烁玻璃在这方面具有明显的优势。本文简要回顾了国内外近几年来闪烁玻璃领域在工艺、性能、机理以及新材料探索方面的研究情况。在传统的掺Ce3+闪烁玻璃的研制不是很理想的情况下,指出了以ZnO或者有机物作为激活剂,制成透明闪烁玻璃陶瓷(微晶玻璃)作为闪烁玻璃发展的新方向。
Recently, with the extension of human activities in high energy physics, nuclear physics and industry detection, there is an urge in cheaper, larger scintillator. In this aspect, scintillating glass has obvious advantages comparing with scintillating crystal. The development of scintillating glass is reviewed with emphasis on work that has been reported. A detailed discussion was given to the preparation methods, properties, and the mechanism. Some novel kinds of scintillating glasses were described. Using ZnO or organic activator, glass-ceramics are the best candidates of scintillating glass.
