摘要
提出了一种基于混合编码的纹理压缩算法。针对纹理图象的局部特征,采用4种不同的纹理单元划分和编码算法来对其进行编码。实验证明,此算法无论是对缓变,还是对锐变纹理图象,较之传统的图象编码算法具有固定码率编码和独立纹理查找的优点,同时也比S3TC纹理压缩算法具有更高的压缩比和更好的图象重建品质。
A texture compression algorithm based on hybrid coding is put forward.Four different kinds of texel block partition methods and corresponding coding algorithms are adapted according to the local spectrum feature of the texture image, The experiment results show that our algorithm has higher compression ratio and better image reconstruction quality than S3TC algorithm whether to subtler or abrupt texture image.
