摘要美国现代著名作家斯坦贝克的中篇小说《人鼠之间》是一部拥有沉重而巨大意义底蕴的作品,有着无限可供阐释的空间,从中寄寓着作家对世界和人类生存状态的深刻领悟。与其说它是一个关于梦想与友谊的另类神话,不如说它是一部关于人类生存命运的现代寓言。它在多重隐喻的海面下,揭示了现代人生存的处境:无奈、孤独、绝望。 On Mice and Men,written by American novelist John Steinbeck,is a work with great and deep sense with an infinite space of interpretation from which the author＇s understanding of the world and human surviving environment was revealed. From the perspective of the author of the article, the novel is more like a modem fable of human surviving fatality than an alien myth of dream and friendship. Under the various shades of metaphors, the surviving predicaments of human beings：frustration,loneliness, and depression are disclosed.
