摘要
考察中国史学的历史进程,前提和基础是认知传统的历史编纂学史。上世纪海内外层出不穷的中国史学史论著,多半集中于陈述自古及近的史部著作和历史作者,内容或博或约,见解或异或同,不乏引人注目的佳制。由于传统史学的研究资源异常丰富,略换角度,便可有异见或另说。本文作者正在主持撰写的《中国历史编纂学史》,着重探究传统史学在编纂形态方面的终始过程和多元形态,注意历史本身蕴涵的史学议题与时代思潮的相关度。本文即择取撰写过程中间进行再考察的若干历史疑问,按十八世纪以前的时空进程,略作点面交集的扫描式的历史陈述。
The cognition of traditional historiography is the premise and groundwork to study the historical development in Chinese history. Monographs on history of Chinese historiography in last century, with their autors from home and abroad, narrations concise or detailed, views accordant or not, focused on historiographers and their works from ancient to recent times. Some of such books are quite remarkable and excellent. Owing to the dramatic abundance of traditional history resources, different opinions can always be brought from one to another point of view. The History of Chinese Historiography, whose compilation is being presided over by the author of this article, particularly investigating the course and multi-modality of traditional historiography history, and probes into the correlation between topics on historiography and thought of time. This paper explains several queries deliberated in the course of compilation. The author＇s concise statement, referring to the progress of time and changes of space prior to the 18th century, concerns the key points and general knowledge as well.
