摘要
合作原则和礼貌原则是人们在交际中应当遵守的语用原则。不同文化背景的人在言语交际中所遵循的合作原则和礼貌原则的侧重点不同。文化价值的差异导致英汉礼貌用语的语用差异。
People should adhere to both cooperative principle and politeness principle in communication and lay special emphasis on different aspect of ＂cooperative principle＂ or ＂politeness principle＂ in the light of their own culture in cross-culture communication. It is clear that culture difference between English and Chinese causes their pragmatic contrast in politeness expressions.
