Analysis of fiber Bragg Grating by coupled-mode theory

摘要 从麦克斯韦方程组出发,基于光波导中的模式耦合理论,考虑到经紫外光照射后光纤纤芯折射率的直流增量,给出了新的光纤光栅耦合模方程,得到了较简洁的耦合系数表达式.通过求解耦合方程,得出了更严格的、与实验结果相符的布拉格波长表达式. Principle and characteristics of Bragg grating are introduced briefly. New coupledmode equations as well as a concise representation of coupling constant are derived and obtained, based on the Maxwell equations and using the coupled-mode theory of optical guidance and considering the direct increase of fiber refractive index of fiber core after UV exposure. When the new coupled-mode equations are solved, a more accurate result of the Bragg wavelength is obtained, which is coincided with experimental result.
