PACS system is an important facility which is used for sharing medical data in digital hospital. This paper discusses the function, applications, economical and social benefits of PACS. It especially analyzes the important meaning of PACS to improve work efficiency and management level, to enhance economic returns and social effect, to increase medical serve quality, to promote teaching and scientific research, to solve disputes between hospital and patients.
