摘要
对黄杲炘先生“兼顾顿数和字数”的译诗主张提出质疑。理由有三:1．顿数字数并不能全面反映原诗格律;2．字数对再现节奏影响甚微;3．固定字数不符合诗歌发展趋势。文中还引用并简析了黄先生本人的译诗,以佐证“兼顾顿数字数”译法并不可取。
This paper queries Huang Gaoxin＇s principle of ＂Paying attention to the number of pauses and characters＂ in E -C poetry translation. The query is based on three points ： First, the number of pauses and characters can not reflect the rhythm of the original poems. Second, the number of characters has little influence on the rhythm. Third, translating poems with fixed number of characters does not accord with the trend of poetry. Several poems from Huang＇ s translation were also quoted and analyzed to show that the principle is not valid nor acceptable.
