1.16%。 To investigate the effect of CLA supplementing level on body fat and protein retention, three hundred and sixty one-day-old avian broiler were selected and allocated to five treatment, each treatment has six replicates of twelve broilers at randomly. The experiment diets were supplemented with 0% ,0.5% ,1.0% ,1.5% and 2.0% CLA respectively. The results showed that in different growth stage of broilers, CLA could decrease body fat retention, especially after 22 d, the effect was significantly (P〈0.05),35 d and 49 d the abdomen fat rate of supplementing groups were 16.77% ,18.29% ,18.60%, 19.82% ,7.97% ,9.89%, 12.91% and 18.95% lower than control group. CLA supplementing could increase thigh muscle rate in different stage (P〈0.05), 0-35 d breast muscle rate (P〈0.05) and whole body protein retention, but there was no effect on 36-49 d breast muscle rate (P〉0.05). There exist a significant quadratic relationship between the sum of thigh muscle and breast muscle rate and CLA supplementing level in different growing stage, the quadratic equation were : 1-21 d, y = - 2. 068 6x^2 + 5. 065 1x + 33. 392,(R^2 = 0.975 8,P〈0.05) 22-35 d, y = - 1. 705 7x^2 + 5.049 4x + 36. 379,(R^2 = 0. 830 2, P〈0.05) ;36-49 d, y = - 1. 694 3x^2 + 3. 934 6x + 40. 421, (R^2 = 0. 996 3, P〈0.05)respectively;After derivation calculus to above quadratic equation we can get the appropriate CLA supplementing level for obtaining maximum breast and thigh muscle rate of broiler in 1-21 d, 22-35 d and 36-49 d were 1.22% ,1.48% and 1.16%.
