摘要
针对H.264/AVC中多种编码模式的使用使得模式选择复杂度大大增加,提出了模式参考集的概念,将所有可能的模式分为若干个模式参考集,并给出了一种基于模式参考集的模式选择方法,首先从4个候选参考集中确定1个模式参考集,然后只对所选参考集内的可能模式进行检验,从而确定最优的编码模式。实验表明,该方法可以大大减少候选参考模式的数目,简化模式选择过程,在保证重构图像质量的情况下,编码速度有了显著提高。
Variable coding modes are employed in H. 264/AVC ,which makes the mode selection a time-consuming compo nent. In this paper,we first develop the concept of mode reference aggregate. Then based on the aggregate,a fast mode decision algorithm is proposed which classifies all possible modes into four different mode reference aggregates. In the proposed algorithm,one aggregate is first chosen from the four reference aggregates based on the special and temporal correlation. We only check the modes in the aggregate determined above and decide the final coding mode. This method can significantly re duce the number of candidate mode to simplify the procedure of mode decision. Experimental results show that the algorithm can increase the encoding speed significantly with negligible PSNR drop and bit-rate increase.
