The recent progress of visible light spectrophotometric determination of trace iron in 1997-2005 was reviewed, including the catalytic kinetic spectrophotometry, differential spectrophotometryy, primary and secondary doublewavelengh spectrophotometry, catoptric and dispersive spectrophotometry, extractive spectrophotometry and prismatic spectrophotometry.
