摘要
根据车牌纹理及其几何形状的特点,提出了一种新的基于自适应灰度形态学滤波的车牌图像分割算法。该算法不同于传统的形态滤波过程,结构元素的大小能随车牌图像的不同而进行自适应调整,因而更有效地提取车牌目标区域。实验结果表明,该算法对不同复杂自然环境和不同光照条件有很强的自适应能力,其定位准确率及抗干扰能力较其它传统分析方法有显著提高。
Aiming at plate texture and plate shape of vehicle image, a new algorithm applied to license plate location of vehicle image based on adaptive gray-scale morphological filtering is introduced. This morphological filtering method is different from the traditional morphology methods in that its elements are adaptive to different vehicle images, in order to effectively extract the targets. And the experiment results show that the algorithm is adaptive to various environments and illuminations, and has much higher accurate rate and robustness than the traditional methods.
