摘要
基于原型范畴理论分析一词多义现象的形成,指出多义化过程是借助隐喻和转喻两个认知手段来实现的,并通过Anderson的语义网络理论和Stein等的准确添加理论探讨多义词习得的有效途径,进而得出对大学英语多义词教学的启示,并指出运用隐喻思维是多义词习得的有效途径,教师应注重培养学生的隐喻思维能力。
This paper analyses the formation of polysemy based on prototype theory, points out the development of polysemy depends on metaphor and metonymy in cognitive view, and explores effective approaches to polysemy learning based on the theory of semantic net and elaboration, thus gains some inspiration on college English polysemy teaching, It also points out that teachers should try to develop students" ability in metaphoric thinking, which is one effective approach to polysemy learning.
