长句是法律英语的最大特征,也是法律翻译中最难处理的部分。法律文件的目的和性质使得其长句出现的频率远远高于其他文体。因此,正确理解和翻译长句是法律翻译成败的要素之一。
The long sentences is the mainest characteristic of Legal English, and it＇ s also the most difficult part to translate. Legal English has more long sentences than the other writing styles because of the purpose and essence of legal documents. Therefore, how to understand and translate the long sentences is the key factor of Legal English translation.
