摘要
传统矢量量化编码一般采用绝对误差(如MSE)为误差度量准则,并不符合人类视知觉的特性.本文根据人的视觉感知规律,定义了一种可广泛用于图象编码的视觉误差准则(MVE),由此导出一种新的矢量量化编码方法.实验表明,采用这种方法得到的解码图象在视觉效果比传统方法有较大改善.
Absolute error measures such as MSE are used in conventional VQ coding schemes. But they don't suit for human visual perception. In this paper,one coding error measure based on human visual perceptivity is defined. Furthermore one novel VQ coding scheme is proposed. Experimental results prove that decoded images using it have better subjective quality.
