摘要
系统功能语言学界对人际意义的研究长期以来集中在语气和情态系统,Martin等人在20世纪90年代初提出的评价系统进一步发展了系统功能语言学的人际意义理论,但国内以此为框架进行的应用研究,特别是汉语研究尚不多见。本文以系统功能语言学为理论基础,在评价系统的理论框架内分析10个英汉社论语篇中态度资源的分布特征,并比较英汉语篇在这方面的异同。我们也希望通过本文的讨论来检验将评价系统理论应用于汉语语篇分析的可操作性,为英汉篇章对比提供一种新的视角。
The theory of interpersonal semantics in Systemic Functional Linguistic (SFL) covers a vast scope, but it elides the semantics of evaluation. Martin' s APPRAISAL Systems (AS) is the latest development to the SFL model of interpersonal meaning, but few applications of AS to specific Chinese discourse analysis can be found to date. This paper is a functional attempt to investigate the realization of attitude in English/Chinese editorials within the AS framework. It is also hoped that the present study will test the applicability of AS in the analysis of Chinese discourse and provide insights into the Chinese-English contrastive studies.
