摘要 帧内预测模式计算量很大,确定一个MB的预测模式需要耗费上百种组合模式的RD代价,因此有必要研究RDO模式下的快速帧内预测模式选择快速算法。本文提出了针对4×4块的帧内预测快速三步算法,利用不同预测方向间RD值的紧密联系可以有效找到最小值周围的预测方向,从而跳过其他不可能的预测模式。此算法仅仅需要检测6种模式,而全搜索算法为9种模式。仿真结果显示,该算法能够获得和全搜索相似的PSNR质量,仅增加约1%比特率。 The computational cost on intra-frame prediction is expensive, and hundreds of modes combinations will be computed for a MB predicting mode. It is necessary to find out a fast intra-frame prediction mode selection algorithm. This paper presents a fast three step algorithm for H.264 4×4 intra prediction. Motivated by the highly correlation of RD cost between different prediction directions, the algorithm efficiently explores the neighborhood direction around the minimum one to skip other unlikely ones. Thus, the proposed algorithm can complete 4×4 intra prediction by only examining 6 modes instead of 9 modes in the full search algorithm. The simulation result shows that the algorithm can maintain the similar PSNR quality as in the full search algorithm with only about 1% bit-rate increasing.
