摘要
本文首先介绍了在利用小波变换进行图像压缩时,小波基选择一般需要考虑的几个方面。并通过实验数据说明了不同的小波基对BMP类图像压缩产生的影响。然后对基于小波变换的嵌入式图像编码方法中最具代表性的EZW和SPIHT编码算法的原理进行了分析、比较,并通过实验对EZW算法进行了性能分析及其改进,并给出了实验结果。
Firstly, This paper introduces some important aspects on choosing wavelet basis when using wavelet transform to perform image compression, and shows the different effects of different wavelet basis on image compression of BMP type by experiment data. Secondly, The EZW and SPIHT are the representative methods of embedded image coding algorithms based on wavelet transform. In this paper, their main principle is analysed and compared, and the performance of EZW algorithm is analysed and improved by experiment.
