摘要
2004年初教育部确定山西财经大学经贸外语学院为108所大学英语教学改革试点单位之一。为了改革的顺利实施,针对大学教师所面临的种种挑战,学院首先制定了大学英语教师的专业发展方案,并确定了促进教师专业成长的“校本教研”模式。“教师个人的自我反思、教师群体的同伴互助、研究人员的专业引领”在不同的发展阶段都发挥着作用,特别体现在教学科研成果质量的提高与数量的增加和学生综合应用能力的明显改善方面。本文根据山西财经大学经贸外语学院两年来50名教师的实践和取得的成果,尝试证明“校本教研“在大学英语教师专业发展中所起的作用以及在高校建立校本教研制度的必要性。
At the beginning of 2004, SXUFE was chosen as one of the 108 universities in China to carry out an experiment -- changing English teaching from the prevailing teacher-centered mode to the learner-centered one. We especially designed a professional development project to prepare teachers in the department for the experimental reform. The project lasted two years and 50 teachers as subjects have been involved in it through serf-reflection, collaboration with each other and with professional researchers. Some positive results have been gained -- the quality and quantity of research papers by the teachers have greatly improved. The paper reports the practice and suggests that school-based peer/collegial development as a system is essential for teachers' professional growth.
