摘要
从信息容量和误码率的经典定义出发,研究了二进制无记忆数字信道的信息容量与误码率之间的相互制约关系,结果表明信息容量与误码率在一般情形下不具有一一对应关系.在非对称信道情形下,信息容量最大并不意味着其误码率最小,但信息容量会随着误码率的减小而增大;在对称信道情形下,不仅可以获得信息容量的最大值,而且可以获得最小误码率.
In this paper, the mutually constraint relations between the information capacity and the bit error ratio of the binary memoryless digital channel have been studied based on the classical definitions of the information capacity and the bit error ratio. The results indicate that the information capacity and the bit error ratio do not have the one to one corresponding relation in general cases. Under the case of asymmetrical channel, the information capacity is the maximum, which does not signify that its bit error ratio is the minimum but that the information capacity will increase along with the reduction of the bit error ratio. Only under the case of symmetrical channel, we can not only have the maximum information capacity, but also the minimum bit error ratio.
