摘要
韩礼德(Halliday)的社会符号学理论用"情态"这一范畴来表示信息的本体地位、权威性以及作为事实或真理的可靠性。作为一种视觉艺术,童话插图的情态可以概括为"梦幻主义",具体表现为娱乐的绘画风格、简化的透视手段、素淡的色彩、浓缩的细节、背景的缺失以及某些时候细微的解剖学上的扭曲。童话插图还通过融入浪漫主义的元素来表现梦幻世界,其中许多形象都具有现实逃避主义的色彩。童话插图不仅帮助儿童理解童话的故事精髓,而且启发儿童的想像,向儿童进行艺术的启蒙。通过阅读童话插图,儿童被引导到属于他们自己的无限、多重的内心世界——一个梦幻般的、与现实被动共生的"反世界"。
In M.A.K.Halliday's theory of social semiotics,'modality' refers to the ontological status and authority of message and the validity of message as fact or truth.As a form of visual arts,the illustration of fairy tales is characterized by 'surrealistic fantasy' in terms of modality,which is marked by the joyful painting style,simplified perspectives,light colors,condensed details,loss of background and subtle anatomical twistings.Fairy tale illustrations also employ romantic elements to represent the fantastic world.Many of the images in these illustrations bear the color of escapism.The illustrations of fairy tales not only help the children to understand the gist of the story,but also stimulate the children's imagination.In this way they give the children artistic enlightenment.Reading the images of fairy tale illustrations,children are taken to an infinite,fantastic and multiple anti-world of their own,which is the symbiosis of the reality.
