摘要
新加坡的双语教育在培养高素质人才,促进经济发展,增进民族认同等方面取得了巨大成就,但同时,存在着母语地位下降,语言分流副作用过大、民族文化传统丧失等问题。新加坡双语教育对中国双语教学的启示是:双语教学应从中国师生的实际水平出发,应妥善处理母语学习与外语学习、语言学习与专业学习的关系,应打造良好的师资队伍,创造良好的语言环境。
Singapore's bilingual education has achieved a great success in fostering high- qualified personals, facilitating the development of Singapore's economy and promoting its national identity, but meanwhile there exist some defects: its mother language being on the fall, its subdividing policy on language education implemented at early stage of language--acquisition having evident side--effects, and its own national culture being disappearing. So the implications we got from it are. bilingual instruction in China should be based on both its teachers' and students' levels; such relationship as mother tongue acquisition and foreign language learning, language learning and major learning should be appropriately dealt with; in addition, good teaching staff forging and favorable language environment creation are equally important.
