摘要
梁慧皎的《高僧传》,以弘扬僧人的理想人格,达到传教护法为目的;道宣的《续高僧传》以弘通佛法要义为首任,重在"会正解而树言"。二者虽在写作过程中都具有史家的眼光和"实录"的精神,但在成书目的及作传理念上却存在较大差异。为了深入了解慧皎和道宣为僧人立传的意图和价值取向,从体例结构、成书目的及作传理念等维度探析二者的异同。
Huijiao wrote Gao Seng Zhuan with the purpose of praising the ideal personality of monks and spreading the themes of Buddhism.But Dao Xuan took the new understanding of the sutra as the primary goals in writing Xu Gao Seng Zhuan. Although the two works both exhibit the spirit of objectivity and the sight of historians,they manifest different intentions and ideas in writing.In order to explain Huijiao and Daoxuan＇s intentions and values of writing monk＇s biography,this article focuses on analyzing and comparing dissimilarity between Gao Seng Zhuan and Xu Gao Seng Zhuan from the following aspects： style and structure of biography,the writing intention and ideas,and so on,thus improving the understanding of both books.
