摘要 语言和文化关系密切。语言是文化的载体,文化渗透到语言和交际的各个方面。而外语教学的目的在于培养学生的语言能力和交际能力。但长期以来,传统外语教学往往只注重语音、词汇、语法、篇章、文体等语言形式的培养。语言形式的学习固然重要,但仅有正确的语言形式而对中西方文化在价值观、思维模式、社会习俗、行为时间观念,宗教信仰、道德规范等方面存在的巨大差异缺乏必要了解往往会造成交际失败。因此外语教学不能仅局限于单纯语言知识的学习。教学过程中应加强文化的渗透,要采取循序渐进的原则,利用多种渠道,使学生在了解中西文化的差异的基础上培养跨文化交际意识。 Language and culture share a close relationship. Language embodies culture; culture penetrates into various aspects of language. The very aim of foreign language teaching lies in the cultivation of the students' ability in language and communication .While the emphasis of the traditional foreign language teaching for a long time lays merely on the linguistic forms such as: pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, text, style and so on. Important as the study of the correct linguistic forms is, however, lack of the necessary knowledge of the differences between the Chinese and Western cultures in the values, modes of thought, social customs, religious beliefs, and the ethics may cause failures in the communication. So the foreign language teaching can/t merely be confined to the study of the knowledge of the language itself. So it's necessary to strengthen the cultural penetration in the teaching process step by step and help the students to learn the cultural differences and cultivate the awareness of cross-cultural communication through various channels.
