摘要
本研究采用自控速记叙文移动窗口阅读任务,考察了外语篇章阅读理解中的抑制机制及其个体差异。结果发现:当新主角目标出现时,阅读者会同时抑制对原有目标的激活水平;而当原目标信息重复出现时,阅读者则能够保持对其激活水平。研究还发现,外语篇章阅读理解存在抑制能力上的个体差异,高水平组抑制目标干扰信息的能力显著高于低水平组。上述结果表明:抑制机制在篇章阅读理解中具有跨语言的普遍性。
This study examined the mechanism and individual differences of suppression during FL textual reading comprehension, using self-paced moving window reading task. The results indicate that the participants maintained the activation of goal information that was re-mentioned in a text and suppressed that of previous goal information when a new goal was introduced. In addition, individual differences also existed with regard to suppression. More competent readers were found to be more skillful at attenuating interfering information than less competent ones. All these findings suggest the cross-language universality of suppression in textual reading comprehension.
