The present study makes a small scale investigation of business people from Chinese,American and German cultures using questionnaires. Research centers around how business people from the three cultures use small talk, forms of address, humor, and how directly they express disagreement in business negotiations, with the purpose of finding out how the business people from the above three cultures rate themselves and each other in terms of politeness levels. Our findings show that the business people from the three cuhures demonstrate obvious tendencies of stereotyping, the results prove to be different from the researcher's hypothesis and research findings in related literature.
