艾兹拉.庞德(Ezra Pound)是美国二十世纪初意象运动的杰出代表,他的译著Cathay闻名中外,其中李白的《长干行》英译已成为了经典之作。本文对照《长干行》的原文和译文,从内容、神韵、语气、格调、意象等方面入手,详细分析了庞德的创意英译。
Ezra Pound is an outstanding representative of American Imagist Movement in the early twentieth century. His translation of Chinese classics Cathay is well - known all over the world, among which River Merchant＇s Wife：A Letter by Li Po has been a classic. This paper analyzes Ezra Pound＇s creative English translation in terms of content, romantic charm, tone, style and image based on its original and translated verses.
