摘要
讨论了交叉交织RS码(CIRC)在旋转头数字磁记录器中的应用;介绍了时域RS码编译码的基本方法;给出了用FPGA和L6471X系列VLSI芯片对CIRC编译码器的硬件实现。实验表明,在记录器原始误码率为10-3的情况下,加入CIRC纠错电路后,误码率小于10-8;
In this paper,the application of cross interleaved reed solomon code (CIRC) in rotary head digiatl magnetic recorder is discussed.The elemental method on coding and decoding of RS code in time domain is presented,and the hardwave implementation of CIRC encoder/decoder with FPGA and L6471X Sery VLSI is given.Experiment shows that by adding CIRC ECC (error correcting circuit),the BER (bit error rate) can be decreased from 10 -3 to less that 10 -8 .Finally,the reason for error is analysed.
