It is universally accepted that in the Books of Songs the terms "Cangcang", "Qiqi" and "Caicai" are interpreted as "luxuriance". However, the theoretical basis is questionable, for the rhymes in them are not simply renewed. As headwords, "Cangcang" ," Qiqi" and "Caicai" convey specific poetic information. Besides, as phrases used for describing scenery, they also enrich the implications of the poems. If readers read between the lines carefully, they will find out that the poetic conceptions are being deepened gradually because of the changes among "Cangcang" ," Qiqi" and "Caicai".
