摘要
大学通识教育中的经典教育,在理论上必须面对许多挑战。因为古今中外的经典作品,多半是经典作者亲身体验的心路历程的表述。对于21世纪大学生的心灵而言,对经典的理解就出现以下问题:一是当今大学生与历史上经典作者之身体的社会文化特质而导致的"体知"经验难以沟通或传承。二是经典作者经由"体知"所得的"分殊"如何提炼而为"理一"。本人认为,首先是经典教育的教学应"入乎其内"而又"出乎其外"。其次是以戏剧的方式,重现经典的思想世界与人物的行谊,使大学生经由读经而"神入"经典人物的心路历程,再进而经由表演而"体知"经典人物的苦与乐。
There are many theoretical problems facing education of classics in the overall environment of college general education. The classics,whether Chinese or western,ancient or modern,are often self-revelations of the authors,with regard to his or her own mental and life experiences. However,for the college students in the 21st century,certain difficulties come between their own minds and those of the authors,which might obstruct their understanding of the classics. Firstly,due to the contextual differences between the two remote generations,the 'bodily knowing' of the authors shaped by specific cultural atmosphere is hard to be passed down to the modern students. Secondly,the 'specificity' of the authors' 'bodily knowing' must be distilled into a 'uniformity',in which we may observe the consistency of general principles. From my perspective,first of all our education should push the students into the classics for in-depth perceptions,and then draw them out of the frame for necessary reflections. In the second place,we must represent the world of classics through drama,placing the students within the mental expedition of the authors. By way of performances,it is hoped that students could experience the happiness and suffering of the characters of classics through their own 'bodily knowing'.
