文章评介了美国高等工程教育自上世纪末以来为适应经济与社会发展进行的一系列改革:其一,调整工程人才培养目标,大力推进以学生为中心的教学模式改革,建立健全教师培训与激励制度,发挥A-BET对教学改革的促进作用,倡导基于IT的教学和基于问题或主题的学习模式;其二,探索工程实践教学模式,推行工业-大学合作研究中心计划和合作教育;其三,创新工程教育制度,建立社区学院与四年制大学的衔接机制,以及促使工程教育改革的机制——工程教育联盟。
This paper examines a series of reforms in American higher engineering education carried out to meet the requirements of its economic and social development since the end of the last century, including: 1. adjusting the goal of engineering education, promoting student-centered teaching model, forming a complete training and incentive system for teachers, exerting ABET's leading role in teaching reforms, and advocating IT-based teaching model and task-based learning model; 2. exploring ideal engineering practice models, and practicing the project of joint research center by industry and university and cooperative education; 3. innovating engineering education system, establishing the link-up mechanism between community colleges and four-year colleges, and enhancing the formation of the Engineering Education Union, a mechanism of the engineering education reform.
