The fuchsin-sodium sulfite photometric method was used for the determination of methonal in the liquor, the working curve between the methonal concentration and the absorbence dose not appear linearity relationship while in the low methonal concentration （〈0.4mg）, The results will be lower than the real value if it＇s calculated according to the linearity.
