摘要
本文介绍了数字图书馆的产生和发展现状,提出目前数字图书馆系统所存在的问题,由此对新一代数字图书馆在设计中需要注意的方面进行讨论,传统的数字图书馆结构所注重的向下兼容能力和多种平台的适应能力在此被整合为扩展内容与服务的自适应能力。作为一种网络模型,未来的数字图书馆体系更注重资源和服务的可配置性、可扩展性与动态性以及与XML数据格式良好的互通能力。
In this paper we introduce the current state and the development of digital library, discuss the requirements of new design. Backwards compatibility and multiplafform operation valued by traditional library are integrated as the ability to add new collections and services adaptively. As a network module, the modular based digital library should emphasize on dynamically controlling levels of configurability, communication between the modules expressed through an instantiation of XML and a set of services are defined.
