摘要
语言符号的任意性、理据性和象似性是语言学界长期关注和需要解决的问题;通过学习索绪尔的任意性理论和围绕该观点产生的各种观点进行综合、比较和分析,列举出肯定和否定两大类观点;语言单个符号具有绝对任意性的性质,符号的理据性和任意性的区别很大。弗罗姆金和罗德曼关于语言符号的标准肯定了任意性,承认了象似性的非任意性。
Arbitrariness, motivation and iconicity are heatedly discussed for a long time. Affirma - tiveness and negation are given by comparing and analyzing the ever arbitrariness raised by Saussure and different view about it. The simple linguistic sign has the feature of definite arbitrariness. V · Fromkin ＆ R · Rodman accepted the Saussure＇ s arbitrariness and pointed out the non - arbitrariness of iconicity.
