摘要
不同于传统的基于解波动方程的光波导模式理论,本文从简明的普通物理光波叠加的观点分析了光波导中形成光场模式的机制,给出了清晰的光场模式的物理定义,依此观点用简单的方法计算了对称与非对称平面光波导中模式的场分布,并给出了特征方程以及归一化频率等一些波导参量的物理意义。
Different from traditional treatment of solving wave equation,this paper analyzed mode mechanism in optical waveguide in the simple viewpoint based on the concepts of superposition of light waves,which generally used in general physics.The clear physical definition of waveguide mode is given.The field distributions in symmetry and asymmetry plane waveguide are calculated by the simple method from this viewpoimt,and the physical significance of characteristic equation and normalized frequency are also given.
