摘要
早期的美国大学学生纪律古板、教条,20世纪中后期以后,向着减轻惩罚和放松控制的方向发展,更加民主和理性。曾经出现过四种具有一定影响的理论,影响大学纪律的发展进程。大学规章制度的制定及其内容,保证了大学纪律的法制化和教育功能。
Student discipline in American colleges and universities in the early period were inflexible and dogmatic. Since the mid 20th century, student discipline gradually became democratic and rational chararaterised by lessened punishment and control. There are four strands of influential theories in the evolution of student discipline. The formulation and content of university regulations guarantee the legitimacy and educational functions of university discipline.
