摘要
数字习语因其简明又不乏生动的特点,对语言的研究有着极其重要的作用。通过大量实例的分析,阐述了英汉数字习语因地域、文化和历史背景等异同,并在此基础上提出了相应的翻译策略。
Numerical idioms play an important role in linguistic reseach due to their brevity and vividness. In light of a myriad of example analyses, the article expounds the differences between English and Chinese numerical idioms because of diversified regional, cultural and historical background, and in turn puts forward the correspondent translation strategies.
