The emergence of ＇tent roof＇, which is the most remarkable character of Munich Olympic Center, is closely related to Frei Otto＇s long-term exploration in tensile architecture. This paper tries to explore the background, development and architectural achievement of Munich Olympics Roof, and also traces back to early thinking and practice of Frei Otto.
