摘要
文章从会话幽默中交际者出发,讨论了三种导致幽默产生的原因即曲解、误导、误解,这为研究幽默的产生提供了一个新的视角。并在有关幽默机制的理论基础上,通过实例分析,讨论了该如何利用关联理论理解会话幽默。这种探讨有助于我们更好地理解和掌握英语语言,提高我们欣赏和运用英语的能力。
This paper, from the point of the speaker itself, discusses three reasons of generating humor in conversation, such as distorting, misleading and misunderstanding. It provides a new angle for the research of generating humor. Based upon the theories of humor mechanism, the author discusses how to apply Relevance Theory to explain the understanding of humor through examples. Such discussion will help us understand and master the English language better, and improve our linguistic competence and communicative competence.
