摘要
随着40 Gb/s端口路由器的出现,未来几年内40 Gb/s波分系统设备将取代现有的10 Gb/s波分系统设备,就像前几年10 Gb/s波分系统设备取代2.5 Gb/s波分系统设备一样。然而,40 Gb/s波分系统有很多传输限制因素,包括光放大器自发辐射噪声、光纤非线性效应、色散、偏振模色散等等。为实现40 Gb/s的波分传输,采取新型调制码型、可调色散补偿、偏振模色散补偿等措施至关重要。
With the emerging of 40 Gb/s port router, the 40 Gb/s Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) system equipment will replace the 10 Gb/s WDM system equipment, just like 10 Gb/s WDM system equipment replaced 2.5 Gb/s WDM system equipment several years ago. The 40 Gb/s WDM system has several transmission limiting factors, such as Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE) noise, fiber nonlinearities, chromatic dispersion, plorization mode dispersion, etc. In order to solve these problems, it is necessary to use new modulation formats, chromatic dispersion compensation and polarization mode dispersion compensation.
