摘要
创办高水平研究型大学的一个重要方面是在教学中注重学生的创新精神与研究能力的培养。目前大学非英语专业的英语教学过于强调英语语言技能本身的培养,对学生的研究能力发展方面有所欠缺。"SEMZNAR"作为一种能够激发学生创造性、培养学生研究能力的研讨性教学方式,将其引入大学非英语专业的专业英语课课堂教学,有望实现对学生培养研究能力与提高英语技能的双重效用。
The development of a research university calls for the cultivation of creativity and research capability in its students. Current English teaching for non-English majors is primarily intended to address the teaching of language in itself and is therefore inadequate for the development of students' research capabilities. As a research-focused and creativity-driving teaching approach, SEMINAR, when integrated into non-English-majors' EFL classrooms, may improve the situation and facilitate the students' research capabilities as well as their foreign language acquisition.
