祥林嫂与田小娥都有不幸的遭遇,都是中国封建宗法制度的受害者。不同的是,祥林嫂是甘愿做奴隶却最终没能坐稳,而田小娥具有一定的自我意识,她本身不甘愿做奴隶,进行过一定的反抗,但由于封建宗法制度的制约,她未能改变自己的命运,最终同样被毁灭。
