摘要
作者曾赴美参加了第17届计算机与工业工程国际会议（ICC＆IE），会后参观了企业、学校和展览会。文章介绍了IE在美的教学与研究现状、全美IE成果展，最后，作者认为记在中国应用前途广阔。
The author has taken part in the 17th ICC&lE in USA, and visited some enterpri-ses, universities and an exhibition during the period of the conference. In this article, the status quoof education and research 0f IE and the exhibition of achievements of IE in USA are introduced. Fi-nally, the author considers there will be a bright future for IE application in China.
