摘要
采用扫描电镜和光学显微镜等研究了富铈混合稀土对5052铝合金铸造流动性及净化效果的影响。结果表明:在加入0.3%RE时,5052合金的流动性提高约60%;随着RE含量的增加,原晶界处呈针状及骨骼状的相显著减少,球状的含RE析出相逐渐形成,并呈点链状分布;RE含量进一步增加,形成的含RE析出相又转变为针状和多边形状;富铈混合稀土在983K能与铝熔体中的氢和氧化夹杂自发反应,使5052合金得到明显净化。
Effect of rare earth element (RE) on fluidity and purification of 5052 aluminum alloy was investigated by SEM and OM. The results indicate that the addition of 0.3wt% RE in 5052 alloy enhances fluidity of the melted alloy by 60% approximately. With increase of RE content, the acicular and skeletal phases precipited at grain boundaries diminish significantly, while the granular containing-RE phases appears as chainlike morphology gradually. But the morphology of the containing-RE phases changes to acicular and polygonal with further increase of RE content. Rare earth can react with hydrogen and oxide existing in alloy melt at 983K, and therefore it purifies 5052 alloy significantly.
