摘要 可用带宽测量对于网络中的网络行为分析、网络服务质量验证、高速网格计算、覆盖网路由、服务器选择等有很重要的作用,而瓶颈链路定位则能够进一步帮助网络管理和网络故障检查。本文全面介绍了现有的可用带宽测量技术以及定位瓶颈链路的方法,剖析了各种技术的内在原理,探讨了未来的研究方向和问题。通过分析广泛使用的等长分组对或分组串探测技术的局限性,提出了一种新颖的非等长探测技术。 Availabale bandwidth(AB) measurement is important for many Internet applications, such as network behavior analysis, QoS verification, high-speed grid computing, overlay routing, server selection, and so on, and locating the bottleneck link can further aid network operations and troubleshooting. This paper surveys the state of art in the fields of AB measurement techniques and bottleneck link localization methods, analyzes their principles, and discusses new potential research problems. Based on the analysis about the limitation of the popularly used packet-pairs or packet trains with equal sizes, this paper introduces a novel probing technique using not-equal packets.
