Born in a civil class, inheriting the enculturation of thousands of years of Beijing city, Lao She devoted himself to the description of Beijing traditions and customes in his works from a folk standpoint. Form the contents, plots, languages to the portray of figures in his works are all the display of his inflexible pursuit of popular interest.
